Samsung has another product to boast in the technology market and HD TVs. The giant Korean firm has launched the world’s biggest home TV with its massive 110-inch TV that is worth $150, 000.
Measuring 2.6 meters by 1.8 meters, the new Samsung HD TV known as “4K” has four times more pixels than the standard HD TV with the use of OLED. OLED has ultrathin screens that display more detailed images with promising picture clarity and impressive color saturation.
The screen is so big that audience will feast over the almost life-size images of players in a football match plus a cinema experience right in your living room. It also offers MultiView which allows two people to watch different shows at the same time.
While Samsung and LG struggles to put OLED TVs into the mainstream by producing larger and affordable televisions, rival groups Sony and Panasonic ended their partnership with OLED. This move is also an answer to the call for more U-HD TV especially by the Chinese, who serve as South Korea’s major market.
The Samsung 110-inch U-HD TV will be available in China, Europe and Middle East. It is priced the same as the average price of a Korean TV, at 160 million won or $152, 000.
